Managing Mental Health During NEET Preparation

Managing Mental Health During NEET Preparation

Preparing for NEET can feel overwhelming due to the competition, long study hours, and pressure of expectations. While academic preparation is important, taking care of your mental health is equally essential. A calm and healthy mind will help you retain concepts better, stay focused, and perform at your peak.

Calm Mind Focus Study Healthy Lifestyle Positive Vibes Motivation

Why Mental Health Matters

Your brain is the most important tool in NEET preparation. Stress, anxiety, and negative emotions can reduce concentration, affect memory, and lower your ability to solve problems. Managing mental health ensures that you can study effectively and stay consistent throughout your journey.

Common Mental Health Challenges Faced by NEET Aspirants

  • Performance Pressure: Constant fear of competition and expectations from parents/teachers.
  • Loneliness: Long study hours may lead to isolation.
  • Stress & Anxiety: Fear of failure and uncertain future.
  • Burnout: Studying without breaks and poor time management.

Practical Tips to Manage Mental Health

1. Follow a Balanced Routine

Divide your study hours with short breaks. Use techniques like Pomodoro (25-30 minutes study + 5 minutes break). Make sure to include sleep, meals, and relaxation in your daily schedule.

2. Stay Physically Active

Exercise, yoga, or even a 20-minute walk helps reduce stress hormones and improves concentration. A healthy body leads to a healthy mind.

3. Stay Connected

Talk to friends, family, or mentors when you feel low. Sharing your thoughts reduces emotional burden.

4. Practice Mindfulness

Deep breathing, meditation, or journaling can calm your mind and reduce anxiety. Even 10 minutes daily can make a big difference.

5. Avoid Comparison

Everyone has a unique journey. Focus on your progress instead of comparing yourself with toppers or peers. Track your improvement, not others’ results.

When to Seek Help

If stress, anxiety, or sadness becomes overwhelming, don’t hesitate to seek professional help. Speaking to a counselor or psychologist can provide new coping strategies and emotional support.

Final Words

NEET is not just about hard work, but also about smart work and mental balance. Taking care of your mental health will ensure you give your best effort without losing your peace of mind. Remember, success in NEET is a marathon, not a sprint—stay consistent, positive, and mentally strong.

India May Add 8,000 MBBS and PG Medical Seats in 2025–26: NMC Chief Dr Abhijat Sheth

English Version India May Add 8,000 MBBS and PG Medical Seats in 2025–26: NMC Chief Dr Abhijat Sheth India’s medical education sector is currently witnessing a crucial phase. According to the National Medical Commission (NMC) chief Dr Abhijat Sheth, the number of undergraduate (MBBS) and postgraduate (PG) seats across the country is expected to increase by nearly 8,000 in the academic year 2025–26. ЁЯУМ Current Seat Availability MBBS (UG seats): 1,18,098 Government: 59,782 Private: 58,316 PG Seats: 53,960 Government: 30,029 Private: 23,931 This expansion is aimed at strengthening India’s healthcare workforce and addressing the growing demand for doctors. --- ⚠️ Seat Cut Fears Amid CBI Probe Earlier this year, there were concerns that medical seats might shrink due to a CBI investigation. The inquiry exposed an alleged nexus between Union Health Ministry officials, NMC members, middlemen, and private college representatives. They were accused of manipulating regulatory approvals for new seats and courses. As a result, the NMC had temporarily put approvals on hold. The CBI named 34 individuals in its FIR, including ministry officials, NHA staff, and NMC inspection doctors. --- ✅ Seat Approval Resumes After Leadership Changes With new leadership, including the appointment of Dr Abhijat Sheth and a new president of the Medical Assessment and Rating Board (MARB), the seat approval process has resumed. Inspections of medical colleges for UG and PG seat expansion are being prioritized. Dr Sheth clarified: UG seat numbers may have dipped temporarily due to the CBI inquiry. But overall seats will increase by 8,000 or more after inspections are complete. New PG seats will also likely be included in the upcoming counselling rounds. --- ЁЯЧУ NEET Counselling Updates NEET-UG Counselling: Ongoing. Round 2 begins on August 25, 2025. PG Counselling: Expected to begin in September 2025. Thus, medical aspirants can expect a slight delay in the approval of additional seats, but the long-term picture shows positive growth. NEET Backlog Kaise Clear Kare? | Best Strategy for NEET 2026 Aspirants

NEET Backlog Kaise Clear Kare? Best Strategy for NEET 2026 | RYRS NEET ACADEMY

RYRS NEET ACADEMY

NEET 2026 • Study Strategies

1) Backlog Analysis (Reality Check)

Sabse pehle apna backlog list banao: Subject → Chapter → Topic. Phir topics ko teen buckets me divide karo:

  • High-weightage + Easy — Biology NCERT factual chapters, Physics basics, Physical Chemistry fundamentals.
  • High-weightage + Tough — Organic Chemistry core, Electrostatics, Genetics & Human Physiology.
  • Low-weightage + Time-taking — Surface Chemistry, Communication Systems, etc.
Start Bucket-1 → then Bucket-2 → end me Bucket-3. Confidence + marks dono badhenge.

2) Daily Time Division (No-Burnout)

  • Morning (1.5 hr) — Backlog theory / NCERT line-by-line.
  • Day — Current coaching lectures (never skip).
  • Evening (2 hr) — Aaj ke notes ki revision.
  • Night (1.5–2 hr) — Backlog MCQ + PYQ (15–20).
⚠️ Rule: Current syllabus > Backlog. Naya backlog banna nahi chahiye.

3) Micro Strategy (Per Chapter)

  1. Theory — Ek resource pe tikke raho (NCERT + class notes). Highlighter se key points mark karo.
  2. Questions — NCERT exemplar ▶ coaching module ▶ last 10–15 years PYQs.
  3. Active Recall — 1-page summary/diagram + formula sheet. Next day 10-min quick quiz.

Mantra: Read → Revise → Recall → Repeat → Solve

4) Weekly Backlog Routine

  • Mon–Sat: Roz thoda backlog + current lecture follow-up.
  • Sunday Morning: Week ke backlog chapters ka revision.
  • Sunday Afternoon: Mini Test (90Q backlog + 90Q current).
  • Sunday Night: Mistake analysis & re-revision list.

5) Subject Priority

  • Biology — NCERT line-by-line + diagrams. (60% paper)
  • Chemistry — Physical (formulas) → Organic (mechanisms & GOC) → Inorganic (NCERT tables).
  • Physics — Concepts + formula sheet + PYQs (chapter end test).

6) Golden Rules

  • Current classes kabhi skip na karein.
  • Roz 80–120 focused minutes backlog ko.
  • Har backlog chapter ke baad mini test (target ≥ 75% accuracy).
  • “Perfect” nahi, 80% mastery pe move on.

Download: Backlog Checklist (Printable)

Is post ke sath humne ek minimalist printable checklist design ki hai jisse aap chapter completion track kar sakte hain. (PDF link yahan add karein)

FAQs

NEET backlog clear karne me kitna time lagta hai?

Roz 1.5–2 ghante backlog ko do to 6–10 hafton me major backlog clean ho sakta hai — consistency is king.

Kya backlog ke liye current lectures skip kar sakte hain?

Nahin. Current skip = naya backlog. Din me current, raat me backlog chunks.

Backlog me pehle kaunsa subject?

Biology → Chemistry → Physics. Biology se fastest returns milte hain.

Backlog chapter complete kaise mark karein?

1-page summary + 50–80 MCQs + 10–15 yr PYQs + mini test ≥ 75% accuracy → mark Green.

Conclusion

Thoda-thoda har din + weekly tests = 2–3 months me clean slate. Aaj se start karein — kal se nahi.

How to Revise NCERT Biology 5 Times Before NEET 2026

How to Revise NCERT Biology 5 Times Before NEET 2026

How to Revise NCERT Biology 5 Times Before NEET 2026

Mastering NCERT Biology is the key to scoring 360/360 in NEET Biology

Why NCERT Biology Revision is Important?

NEET Biology contributes 50% of the entire paper, and almost every question comes directly or indirectly from NCERT. Many toppers say that they revised NCERT at least 5 times before their final exam. Without multiple revisions, it’s hard to recall small details and tricky lines during the exam.

Step-by-Step Strategy for 5 Revisions

✅ 1st Revision – Understanding Phase

  • Read each chapter slowly, underline important lines.
  • Highlight NCERT diagrams and labels.
  • Make a small notebook for short notes.

✅ 2nd Revision – Notes + NCERT Back Questions

  • Revise notes + NCERT highlighted points.
  • Solve NCERT back exercise and exemplar questions.
  • Mark difficult topics with a star for extra focus.

✅ 3rd Revision – Fast Reading + MCQs

  • Do a quick line-by-line reading (don’t get stuck).
  • Practice 100 Biology MCQs daily from NCERT-based question banks.
  • Start mixing 11th + 12th chapters for better recall.

✅ 4th Revision – Test-Oriented

  • Revise only marked important points from notes.
  • Take topic-wise and full-length mock tests.
  • Maintain a mistake notebook for wrong questions.

✅ 5th Revision – Final Touch Before NEET

  • Only NCERT + notes (no new material).
  • Revise diagrams, examples, and one-liners.
  • Focus on memory recall and fast reading.

Tips to Retain NCERT Biology Better

  • Revise every chapter in the same sequence daily.
  • Use sticky notes or flashcards for difficult terms.
  • Practice diagram-based questions regularly.
  • Revise 11th and 12th Biology together to strengthen links.

Sample Revision Timetable

Month Target
August - September 1st Revision (Understanding)
October 2nd Revision (Notes + NCERT Questions)
November - December 3rd Revision (Fast Reading + MCQs)
January - February 4th Revision (Test-Oriented)
March - April 5th Revision (Final Touch)

✅ Conclusion

If you revise NCERT Biology 5 times before NEET 2026, you can easily attempt 85–90 questions correctly in Biology. Remember, consistency is more important than long hours. Stick to the plan, revise regularly, and keep practicing MCQs.
